The „Allgäu Tirol Barrierefrei“ certificate

This certification is a project that knows no borders or boundaries between Allgaeu and Tyrol in Austria. The projects aim is to help people, not only those in wheelchairs but those with walking and sight disabilities, senior citizens, injuries and families with small children and push chairs. A special qualified team is appointed to examine the facilities. They assess all aspects of the property and make suggestion for improvements. If everything is satisfactory they then issue the certificate either for wheelchair access or limited mobility.

The certificate is valid for 3 years. There are 3 different aspects:

1: For people with limited mobility

2: For people with sight impediments or the blind

3: For people with the hearing disabilities of the deaf
